In following with Zoidberg’s post about high mileage Tacomas being super expensive, a new contender enters the ring. 1993 2WD 5 speed with 4,300 miles that has basically at inside all its life. Asking is $23,500

Mondo crack pipe.

Not a 4x4

Stripper model

Appears someone sold the rear bumper? I believe they were not optional 89-95 , it should be standard.

I drove an ‘89 stripper for five years and I loved that truck. I'm not sure I would pay $10k for this.

It’s crazy that people have these basically brand new cars/trucks just sitting away in a garage for some reason with damn near no miles

CP. You can get something much newer for that price. Sure not the same miles but still, w ay more safety, power, lower emissions, probably better fuel economy.

“ A brand new 2wd tacoma is around 23000-28000 brand new and this one is better.”

Think they’ll trade me straight-up for my ‘18?

Haha! That line was great. I mean, sure, someone out there might think that but not many.

The high quality detailed photos justify the price.

I’d much rather buy a basic new one for virtually the same money, and not die when a distracted drone plows into me.

I doubt it because apparently “this one is better” than the new ones

Crack pipe and a half. Just because its low miles doesn’t mean it wont need a ton of work. It’ s a museum buy, which makes me wonder why he is listing it l ocally. The LCHM wont buy Tacoma’s and that’ s the only T oyota museum here.

I never think about how sitting around not getting driven affects engines. As an aside, I saw that the LCHM was selling off some of their stock recently

The old might not be technically better. But if I would have to pick between a pristine old model and a brand new one priced similarly , I would pick the old one . But as my budget is lacking, I don’t own a huge garage or I haven’t got a need for a brand new pickup truck I will pick something completely different.

They do that from time to time if they find a better example of the model and sell off the old one. I want all 3 of those ,especially the 55. Which begs the question.  How does a garaged 93 stripper tacoma command as much as a 17k mile museum kept Land Cruiser 55?  Exactly.

I could buy a year-old Frontier for that much. Cracky crack crack pipe.

Couldn’t you buy a new Tacoma for that?*

*I know you can’t.
